You can do It natural or by force.
I have projects doing both, and both types are working pretty similar. It’s just I get to choose when I want a backlinks/sites Indexed with services. In fact I’m creating a WP plugin for a service to auto submit my links, because for some of my sites I have hundreds of queued up posts scheduled to post at later dates.
Just makes my life easier on some projects
